SANTO DOMINGO. Como refiere el Premio Nobel de Literatura, Mario Vargas Llosa en su ensayo “La Civilización del espectáculo”, en estos tiempos todo es posible. La aparición en YouTube del haitiano Rumai, el intérprete de Palito de Coco fue tan grande que acaparó la atención de las redes sociales y de unos que otros productores de televisión que encontraron su tabla de salvación.

No faltaron los artistas que atravesando una sequía no dudaron en hacerse del tema. Amara La Negra, cuya labor mediática no para -no así la calidad de su exposición- fue la primera en ofertar RD$20 mil para quien diera con su paradero, luego de que se convirtiera en todo un “acontecimiento” en las redes sociales. El “artista”, un vendutero público, apareció y de inmediato encontró un mánager.

Una demanda

Pero no todo es color de rosa para el mánager y Rumai, porque ayer llegó a DL, el merenguero urbano Félix Abreu “El Feo del merengue”, descendiente de padres haitianos, nacido en el país, quien presentó un certificado emitido por la Oficina Nacional de Derecho de Autor, en el que se establece que es el dueño del tema, y anunció que iniciará una demanda al empresario para reclamar sus derechos autorales. “Cuando debuté como músico lo registré, pero no lo difundía por radio, porque era de doble sentido. Fui a Haití hice varios conciertos y allí fue que se dio a conocer”, dijo al mostrar su certificado.

Manifestó que es músico y compositor y no tiene nada personal contra quien canta su tema.”Nuestro abogado Ernán Santana está elaborando la demanda, porque tienen que pagar los derechos autorales correspondientes, según lo establece la ley”.

Crea tu insignia(CNN) -- A mother of 14 in Colombia tried to make ends meet, police say, by pushing her daughters into "hell" and selling their virginity for a couple hundred dollars.

Margarita de Jesus Zapata Moreno, 45, was arrested this week together with a 51-year-old contractor who police believe impregnated one of the young daughters.

She broke down in tears when she stood in front of the cameras after being arrested in Bogota, the Colombian capital. The BogotaMetropolitan Police say Zapata sold the virginity of 12 daughters to much older men seeking to have sex with young virgins.

Authorities also say the suspect would begin selling her daughters to men as soon as the girls turned 12 years old. She charged anywhere between 300,000 and 400,000 Colombian Pesos ($160 to $212) for a virgin.

But Zapata strongly denies the accusation. Colombian authorities often show high-profile suspects to the media shortly after arresting them. When Zapata was standing in front of the cameras Wednesday, one of the reporters shouted a question to her: "Did you prostitute your daughters?" She answered: "No, my darling."

Colombian police say they learned of this alleged case of abuse because one of the alleged victims stepped forward. Authorities say one of the suspect's daughters forced into prostitution gave birth to a baby boy when she was 14. She had refused her mother's orders to have an abortion.

Colonel Carlos Melendez, a Bogota Metropolitan Police spokesman, told CNN affiliate Caracol TV the young girl described to investigators the "hell" in which she lived when she was still a prepubescent girl, about being forced to have sex with much older men in her home and about a life of abuse and neglect.

"She was a minor and she still had the courage to report the abuse and also to refuse to have an abortion. That's when this investigation started, from the threats of her own mother," Melendez said.

The investigation took more than a year to complete because the only witness willing to testify, the 14-year-old girl, now 16, disappeared, apparently because she feared her mother would kill her for going to the police.

After she reappeared, she also told authorities about a man who had sex with her and got her pregnant.

Police arrested a 51-year-old man who investigators say fathered the son of the girl who was 14 years old when the baby was born. The suspect declined to comment at Wednesday's police presentation.

Police are asking the rest of the daughters to provide more information about this case. "Those who are watching or listening to us, we would like to ask them to come to the police so that they give us information about transpired in this case," Melendez said.

Police investigators say Zapata also forced her older daughters to drink alcohol and do drugs. Some ended up working as prostitutes and are missing, police said.

Police say those two arrests are only the beginning. Investigators say they will also build cases against the men who were having sex with these minors.

According to authorities, only two of Margarita de Jesus Zapata Moreno's 14 children were not forced into prostitution. They were the two youngest -- an 11-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl -- and they have been placed in the custody of a Colombian government child protection agency.

Hace dos años, en julio del 2011, a los 77 años de edad falleció doña Yolanda Sepúlveda, llevándose consigo el deseo de ver a la justicia terrenal accionar contra los asesinos de su hijo, el malogrado merenguero Tony Seval.

 El dolor que provocó el vil asesinado del intérprete de “El muerto”, acompañó a doña Yolanda hasta el día de su muerte, padeciendo el silencio de una justicia que se mantuvo a espaldas de los reclamos para que investigaran los hechos ocurridos el 24 de octubre de 1985.

Ese dolor nunca terminó, provocando enfermedades que minaron la fortaleza de esta mujer poco a poco. El víacrucis de este merenguero que disfrutaba de gran popularidad con su agrupación merenguera, inició el 22 de octubre de ese año, cuando fue apresado y encarcelado en el destacamento policial de Villa Juana, bajo la acusación de consumo de drogas, historia que sus más cercanos, y sus fanáticos, nunca asumieron como verídica.

 Uno de los argumentos esgrimidos por los agentes de la policía del destacamento, era que el merenguero había tenido un enfrentamiento violento con los demás presos y recibió múltiples heridas de armas blancas en todo el cuerpo que le quitaron la vida.

Otra versión aseguraba que Seval enfrentó la custodia carcelaria y que para llevar a cabo su objetivo rompió la tapa de un inodoro y con un objeto punzante los atacó. Una serie de argumentos falaces se sucedieron mientras pasaban las horas.

El pueblo no creyó ninguno y comenzó a manejar una información que resultaba más creíble: la muerte de Seval fue por motivos pasionales. Señalaban a un alto oficial militar de ser el responsable del asesinato. Testigos en los alrededores del Hospital de las Fuerzas Armadas y la Policía Nacional aseguraron que la noche en que, herido, el cantante fue trasladado a ese centro hospitalario, se escucharon disparos en las afueras del mismo. La popularidad que el malogrado artista había alcanzado se sumó a la rabia e impotencia de la gente e hizo que el pueblo se lanzara a las calles.

Encendidos de velas y velones en todas las aceras y contenes de las calles del país llamaron la atención de las autoridades, motivando al presidente de la República de entonces, el doctor Salvador Jorge Blanco y al secretario de las Fuerzas Armadas, mayor general Manuel Antonio Cuervo Gómez, a dirigirse al país.

Tanto las promesas de llevar al banquillo de los acusados a los responsables de cegar la vida del artista, como el expediente, con el paso del tiempo fueron a parar a la gaveta de un escritorio y hasta hoy nadie se ha atrevido a desempolvarlo.

Este 24 de octubre se cumplieron 28 años del horrendo crimen y la verdad continúa en el limbo, mientras el brazo de la justicia se hace cada vez más corto para alcanzar a los asesinos de Tony Seval.

Un joven de 20 años es vinculado a 79 asesinatos en Monterrey

(CNN) — Lo más impactante sobre el arresto de un hombre vinculado a 79 asesinatos podría ser el que las autoridades no lo encuentran impactante. Con 20 años de edad, Juan Pablo Vázquez es acusado de matar a rivales, un policía, una bailarina y ciudadanos que solo pasaban por donde ocurrieron los ataques.

Pero las autoridades de Monterrey, no usaron ningún tipo de apodo para referirse a él. No es el peor criminal que han visto, no es el más despiadado ni tampoco el más joven.

Esto es debido a que Monterrey y los municipios que comprenden su zona metropolotana son una región disputada por cárteles de la droga rivales. De 2010 al presente, un promedio de 108 personas fueron asesinadas por mes en el estado de Nuevo León, de acuerdo con estadísticas oficiales. Monterrey, la capital, ha registrado 233 homicidios este año.

El arresto de Vázquez mereció una conferencia de prensa, pero no una celebración.

Una jueza dicta orden de arresto contra El Sujeto

La Jueza Josefina Ubiera Guerrero, del Distrito Judicial de la provincia Santo Domingo, ha dictado este día jueves una orden de arresto contra el merenguero El Sujeto, tras atender una solicitud que le hiciera el Ministerio Público, horas después de que fuera presentada una querella en su contra por la presunta agresión a una adolescente, en Los Mina.

Ubiera Guerrero ha autorizado al Fiscal Máximo Díaz, a realizar el arresto contra "El Sujeto", para que este sea conducido en un plazo de 48 horas ante un juez de Instrucción, si entiende que debe dictarse otra medida de coerción comntra el arrestado o en su defecto la puesta en libertad.

El Sujeto, cuyo nombre real es Johan Manuel Nova., ha sido señalado como el presunto autor de una golpiza a una adolescente de 16 años, ayer en la calle 5 de Los Mina.

El abuelo de la menor, Tirso Rosario, dijo hoy que reclamará justicia por la agresión del merenguero a su nieta.

Los golpes y heridas que habrìa propinado  El Sujeto a la estudiante, curarìan de diez a 21 días, si no se presentaran complicaciones, según un certificado mèdico emitido hoy por el Institucio Nacional de Ciencias Forenses (INACIF), que atendió un requerimiento del Ministerio Público.

¿Qué es un monitor continuo de glucosa?

Monitor continuo de glucosa, sensor y transmisor. El pequeño sensor de glucosa se inserta bajo la piel. El transmisor transmite las lecturas de glucosa al monitor.

Un monitor continuo de glucosa es un dispositivo que mide los niveles de glucemia continuamente, dando lecturas cada 5 minutos (288 al día) durante las 24 horas del día. El monitor de glucosa puede ayudarle a entender cómo la comida, el ejercicio y la medicación afectan a los niveles de glucemia, lo que le permitirá tratar mejor su diabetes. Losmonitores continuos de glucosa incluyen además alarmas paraindicar si los niveles de glucemia sobrepasan los niveles predefinidos o caen por debajo de ellos, así como alarmas de tendencia y predictivas.

Los componentes de la monitorización son: un monitor (pequeño dispositivo del tamaño de un móvil), un sensor que mide la glucosa en el líquido intersticial y que se inserta en la zona del vientre, y un transmisor que, conectado al sensor, envía la información de éste de manera inalámbrica al monitor. El tamaño del sensor y del transmisor conjuntamente es similar al de una moneda de dos euros. 

La monitorización continua de la glucosa (MCG) le aportará información constante de sus niveles de glucosa, teniendo así una imagen completa de la glucemia a lo largo de todo el día. Polémica en Abu Dabi por fotos de Rihanna en una mezquita

(CNN) – La estrella pop Rihanna vende álbumes por sus sensuales y llamativas poses. Pero durante una visita a Emiratos Árabes Unidos, sus poses causaron controversia.

Mientras estaba allí para un concierto, la cantante visitó el patio de la Gran Mezquita del jeque Zayed. Representantes de la emblemática mezquita dijeron que le pidieron a la artista retirarse después de que posara de forma inapropiada para unas fotografías en sus instalaciones.

Una Rihanna completamente cubierta vestía un traje oscuro con lo que parecía ser el elemento superior de las prendas de las mujeres musulmanas. Tenía labial rojo brillante y publicó las imágenes en su cuenta de Instagram.

En una foto, está recostada sobre su espalda. Escribió: “sin marcas de bronceado”.
